Sophia Rose

Sophia Rose is the creator of La Abeja Herbs, a nomad’s apothecary. Sophia Rose is softness + strength. She is fierce and loving honesty, quiet curiosity. She is a woman who listens deeply to the singing of the Earth’s Spirit and shares the beauty of all that she hears through her work as a Folk Healer and Herbalist.

In 2009, Sophia Rose left her home in the Lone Star State and headed to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where she studied with Paul Bergner at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism.  It was at the school’s extensive apothecary that she first found herself, happily at home, in the role of resident medicine maker and wildcrafter.  After completing her thesis on the magical and medicinal uses of Solomon’s Plume (Maianthemum racemosum) in 2012, she received her certificate as a Master Herbalist and embarked upon the journey that has become La Abeja Herbs.
